GENERAL ASSEMBLY & CONCERT

I've been so busy these past few weeks and I wasn't able to post my new entry because of my activities in our school, meetings, etc. I think this is my right time to do it. Last July 22 (Tuesday), the marketing management students attended the general assembly that held at the auditorium in FEU; the title was UNITY BEYOND SUCESS "Catalyzing Corporate Community as One Business Body". The night before the G.A, I prepared my things that I need to bring and wear. I was very upset when I saw my org. shirt, for not following the correct size and color. But instead of complaining to the organizers, I’d rather choose to dress in the *big size* shirt and understand them that their job is not easy and other said that JMA officers encountered some problems with the manufacturers. Since the call time of our G.A is 1 p.m, I woke up at 8 in the morning and left in my apartment at 10. I went to jollibee in Ever mall to meet my friend and we went together in INDEX salon. We had the same problem with the size of org. shirt.

After we went in salon, we moved to the tailoring to repair our shirts and we pleased them to rush it because we were running out of time. It was 1:20 in the afternoon when we reached the place; the seminar was not yet started, we had seen some students staying in the lobby and filling up to the attendance sheet. However the seminar started belatedly, the event remains the same. The speakers were very active in sharing about the achievements of their companies. I remembered the yeheey.com, the speaker said that, the reason why they came up with the name "yeheey" is because of "yahoo" they actually translated it in the Filipino version. The speakers were very awesome when they presented their lecture, the students participated by listening and asking questions. During the seminar, they encountered some technical problems and that's normal, it can't be avoided because it's always a part of any kind of events. The emcee gave tokens to the speakers and also introduced the new professors of marketing so that we remember their faces. It was done at 5:30 p.m and after the distribution of certificates.

It happened recently lang, i watched the concert of Alicia Keys live in Manila with my friend. I was surprised when my sister gave me two green passes for the concert. I was thinking who will I suppose to treat, and then I remembered my elementary friend. I called her but she wasn't able to accompany me because of her work. Then, I said to my sister "wag nlang kc wala nman ako ksama" but she insisted me to contact my friends. I tried to call and text bhezy if she's available on that day. Yes, indeed! We went together at SMX in Mall of Asia, the place where the concert happened. We got there at 7 p.m (so excited). We ate first before we go to the said venue. And this is it! When we were walking to the venue we had seen people lined up going to the entrance. When we reached to the security guards to check our bags, I forgot that I have food in my bag, I have no choice but to leave it outside and gave it to the guards. They didn't noticed my digicam because i kept it to my make-up kit..nice strategy, isn’t it? ;) The concert didn't start at exactly 8 p.m maybe it's because Alicia Keys was not yet there. We're so bored waiting for her to perform but thanks to my "crush" because he was also there, sitting in the same row where we were seated ;) The first performer was Luke Mejares, he sang his song which is not familiar to me. Next is Duncan Ramos, one member of the Southborder band before. After that performance, we waited again to the next performer.

It was 9:30 p.m when Alicia performed. She's very awesome, good singer, and pretty. I really love her songs even though I didn't know some of it. I didn't hear the song "I'm Officially Missing You" it's one of my favorite pa nman. I preferred to stand on the chair rather than to sit so that, I could easily take a nice shot and videos. We really enjoyed the concert. She performed well even her bands. The audience kept on shouting "we love you alicia", so nice, right? They were acting like a little children whom wants to hug and kiss their mom and dad ;) Even if the venue was not in the open field the SMX was good nman for their alternative place. The exciting performance of her was that when she sang acapella song and without the background music she perfectly hit the high notes. The last song that she sang was "No one" which is the popular song here in the Philippines. The viewers were singing together while waving their hands. After that song, i thought she will sing again but it's the end na pla. They were requesting for another song, kept on shouting "one more...one more...one more" but no alicia came out to the stage. Unfortunately, only what they did was left on the place and saying "sayang, sana she sing one more song pa". It was 11 p.m when it ends. It was a very successful concert and extremely performance. I hope she comes back for the next time she will do a concert ;)
